This summer, beef and dairy producers across Pennsylvania can help share the importance of Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) and Dairy Beef Quality Assurance (DBQA) with their families and friends on Facebook.

"BQA is Here to Stay, Join Today,” a Facebook-exclusive contest sponsored by the Pennsylvania Beef Council and Boehringer Ingelheim, is detailed on the Penn. Beef Council Facebook page: www.facebook.com/pabeefcouncil.

The contest encourages both beef and dairy producers to become BQA Level 1 certified or to recertify and update their current BQA statuses. As a bonus, producers can enter for a chance to win a $250 gift certificate to their local veterinary practice. One winner will be randomly selected after the contest closes on Tuesday, Sept. 3.Producers can enter one time per day.

In addition to the randomly selected winner, producers can "refer a friend” to the contest on Facebook, when they enter, earning points if those referred friends enter the contest, too. The producer with the most referral points will win a $250 gift certificate to their local veterinary practice.
