WKBT reports McDonald’s hosted “Open Door Days” to show the community of La Crosse, Wis. the local meat and produce used in menu items.

The locally produced meat and produce supports the community and ensures fresh ingredients are used. The “Open Door Days” gave the public a behind-the-scenes tour of the restaurants. McDonald’s bought 38 million pounds of Wisconsin beef and 52 pounds of Wisconsin cheese last year.
