Calif. silage Chopper School coming July 11

Dairy producers, corn silage growers, custom harvesters and dairy nutritionists are invited to learn about producing high-quality corn silage at Chopper School 2013 on Thursday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at Dan Peterson Dairy in Turlock, Calif. 

Mycogen Seeds and other industry partners will host sessions on successful silage production trends. Topics include chopper maintenance, harvest timelines and silage preservation.

A chopping demonstration will feature harvesters from Claas, John Deere, Krone and New Holland. Attendees will see choppers operating in the field and observe workers unloading silage into the pit.
