World Dairy Expo board elects leaders

World Dairy Expo’s Board of Directors elected eight individuals to the Executive Committee at their annual meeting, held March 18th at the Alliant Energy Center.

Officers include:
· President:  Mike Holschbach, Heatherstone Enterprises, Inc., Baraboo, Wis.
· Vice President:  Phil Niemeyer, Nasco, Vice President, Fort Atkinson, Wis.
· Secretary/Treasurer:  Dean Hermsdorf, Vita Plus Corporation, Cottage Grove, Wis.
 
Also serving on the Executive Committee are:
John Dalton, Daltondale Farms; Ray Kuehl, Purebred Breeders of World Dairy Expo; Roger Ripley, Accelerated Genetics; Bill Barlass, Barlass Jerseys; and  Bob Kaiser, University of Wisconsin Extension. 

World Dairy Expo General Manager, Mark Clarke and Will Hughes of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection serve as ex-officio members of the Executive Committee.
 
World Dairy Expo’s Dairy Cattle Show Committee also elected new leaders. John Dalton, Daltondale Farms, will serve as chairman of the committee. He succeeds David Selner, who provided leadership to the committee for the past seven years. Tom Morris of Tom Morris, Ltd., was elected vice chairman.
 
The 2008-09 Commercial Exhibitor’s Committee Chairman is Dean Hermsdorf of Vita Plus Corporation and Craig Amici, representing The Coburn Company, Inc., serves as vice chairman.
 
“Building Bridges, Making Connections” is the theme for World Dairy Expo 2008, which will take place Sept. 30 through Oct. 4 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
