Calves killed in Minnesota barn fire

Five calves were killed in a fire near Watkins, Minn., early Friday morning.

ABC 5 News reports that in addition to the death of the calves, the barn was also severely damaged. Officials believe that the blaze was started by a heating lamp. Read more here.

Owner Ronald Molitor and his family made local news recently when they welcomed triplet heifers onto their dairy farm for the second time in their dairy’s history, according to a report by the Dairy Star available here.
