Legislation unveiled in New York this week would provide $60 million in immediate assistance to dairy farmers in New York.

According to an article in the Dunkirk Observer, the 2009 Dairy Investment Act would provide a one-time direct support payment to New York’s dairy producers using $60 million of stimulus funds from New York’s share of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
