A snapshot of what California dairy producers are thinking

Times are tough for dairymen everywhere. But, the ones who are suffering the most are probably in California.

On Wednesday, public radio stations in northern California interviewed several dairy farmers, who provided different views on the Farm Bill negotiations currently under way in Congress. Some support the provisions of the Dairy Security Act, which would provide payments to farmers when the margin between milk prices and feed prices gets really tight. Others oppose those provisions.
