Culvers "Culver's wouldn't be what it is today without the family farms that grow and produce the wholesome, delicious food we so proudly serve," Craig Culver, co-founder of Culver's, said in a new release.

Now the popular Midwest-based restaurant is turning this gratitude into a national campaign that brings attention to America’s farming heroes.  Through their website, customers are asked to write a thank-you note to farmers.

For each thank-you note submitted through their Facebook page, Culver’s will donate $1 to the National FFA Foundation.

“Culver’s also remains committed to sourcing the finest ingredients America’s growers have to offer. So now, through our partnership with the National FFA Organization, we are giving back to today’s farm families, while helping ensure the future of the next generation,” Culver’s wrote on their website.

The letters are also featured. Some of the notes of gratitude include:

“Without all your work, I wouldn't have food on my table. The world will never run out of demand for farmers. Keep it up and thanks for your hard work!”

“The American farmer is the life blood of the World. It is the farmer who does all the hard work and gets very little credit. And take the blame for price when they go up. I Thank we all need to say a great BIG THANk YOU.”

“As I drive around the countryside, I see many fields under water in large spots. Many fields never even got planted this spring. It's hard to be a farmer this year, so THANK YOU for hanging in there.”

“I grew up on a farm and it instilled hard work, dedication, and responsibility in me. I am proud to be one of the few--the backbone of America! I appreciate all the work that goes into making our safe and wholesome products. Hats off to farmers everywhere--you ARE appreciated! :)”

But Culver’s isn’t stopping there. The restaurant recently transformed a Beaver Dam, Wis., barn into a billboard, painting it blue with large message: “Thank you, Farmers.”  The message can be seen easily from the county highway the runs past the farm.

See the video above for a look at the barn and the process Culver’s took to transform it into a “big, blue thank you.”
