The dairy industry was front and center at a pep rally at Beyer High School in Modesto, Calif., this week. Milk mustaches, cow costumes, a cow and cheerleaders cheering for milk were all a part of this promotional event to boost participation in the campus breakfast program.

The pep rally also kicked off a contest between eight high schools in the Modesto, Calif., area to see who can increase participation in campus breakfast programs the most. According to the Modesto Bee, the winning school will receive $3,000 to be used for student activities. The California Milk Processor Board will be awarding $30,000 to schools throughout the state.
