Dean Foods seeking buyer for Wisconsin dairy plant

Dean Foods seeks a buyer for its milk processing and distribution business located in Waukesha, Wis. to fulfill a settlement agreement following the antitrust dispute with farmers in the Northeast.

The sale announcement was made Monday and is part of the settlement agreement reached on March 29, 2011. Dean Foods will sell its milk processing, selling, marketing and distribution business in Waukesha. The business includes a 170,000-squre-foot fluid dairy processing facility and equipment, the Golden Guernsey and La Vaca Bonita brands, and other related assets.

Steve Schultz, Vice President of Corporate Development at Dean Foods will handle inquiries from interested bidders.
