Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program are offering grants of up to $250 to aid in local grassroots dairy promotion programs or events geared toward consumers.
“The grants provide a great opportunity for dairy farmers to promote their industry locally,” said Laura England, executive vice president of communications for Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association. “They can be used to support consumer-focused events where dairy farmers share their story and promote dairy products.”
Applications will be evaluated on the project’s capacity to enhance knowledge of the dairy industry and/or the health and nutrition benefits of milk and dairy products. The project must be a consumer-focused event or program, and the applicant must be a dairy farmer in the Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program service territory.
Up to 50 grants will be provided in 2011 on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please contact Amberleigh Packard at firstname.lastname@example.org or (717) 991-2483 for an application.
