Heat stress preparation

It’s not too early for dairy producers to think about the adverse effects of heat stress on herd productivity, says K-State dairy specialist Mike Brouk (Brook). Now is as good a time as any to troubleshoot the herd cooling system, to be sure that it is ready for the task. That will allow plenty of time to make repairs or improvements well ahead of the first round of summer heat.
