Milk adulteration may lead to death penalty in India

The Times of India reports the state government in India is recommending the death penalty for individuals who adulterate milk by adding synthetic chemicals.

Gulabrao Deokar, Minister of state for dairy development, made the request to sanction the death penalty to halt practices in India.  Deokar presented the request to the Centre, the current law allows offenders to be released on bail.
