A possible easing of the one-child policy in China is good news for the countries that ship dairy products abroad.

In Australia, dairy analysts see the change leading to even greater demand for Australian dairy products, according to this article from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

With more babies being born, China may step up imports of infant milk formula and other dairy products intended to boost child nutrition.  

U.S. observers are similarly optimistic.

This year, China overtook Canada as the second-largest customer for U.S. dairy products abroad. U.S. dairy exports to China were up 62 percent (by value) in the first three quarters of 2013 compared to the first three quarters of 2012, says the U.S. Dairy Export Council.
