The one-gallon milk jug has been redesigned. New jugs are cheaper to transport, environmentally friendly, provide fresher milk, cost less to make and fit in your refrigerator better. Yet, users need some retraining — the traditional lift-and-pour method is now tilt-and-pour. Water usage at processing facilities is cut by 60 to 70 percent (and labor in half) with the new jugs.
