Dairy farmers in British Columbia are gearing up to provide chocolate milk to the athletes at this year’s Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

In recent years, athletes have discovered the ability of chocolate milk to recharge their systems after an intense workout.

“Chocolate milk is particularly beneficial for athletes that train more than once per day, as it is very effective for refueling your muscles, preventing cramps and maintaining high energy levels after your workout,” a registered dietitian was quoted by the Richmond (British Columbia) News last year.
