An animal-rights group that has become somewhat prolific in releasing undercover videos has struck again — this time at a Wayne County, Ohio, farm that raises veal calves.
Mercy For Animals released the video Monday. It reportedly showed calves chained in veal crates, which is legal in Ohio.
According to the group, the calves are in stalls “so narrow they cannot turn around, walk, run, play, socialize with other animals, or engage in other basic natural behaviors.” See more of their allegations and a video clip.
This is the third time that Mercy For Animals has made the news this year for undercover videos at dairy operations. The first was a New York dairy and the second was another Ohio dairy.
