The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported Friday that butter prices rose 8.3 cents last week compared to the previous week. Last week’s price averaged $1.94 per pound for 25-kilogram and 68-pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards.
Meanwhile, cheddar cheese prices received for 40-pound blocks averaged $1.66 per pound last week, a decline of 0.6 cents from the previous week.
The price for 500-pound barrels of cheddar cheese averaged $1.64 per pound, up 0.2 cents from the previous week.
