The Class III price continues to retract. In September, it fell to $16.28 — a loss of $1.04 from August, according to the USDA’s announcement of class prices on Oct. 3. One year ago the Class III price was $20.07.
The Class IV price also took a hit in September. It fell $1.19 to $15.45 for September. That’s also $6.16 less than a year ago when it was $21.61.
Meanwhile, the September Class II price continued to post modest gains. It climbed 13 cents to $17.58. One year ago it was $22.16.
