The Class III price reversed course in September, climbing seven cents past $20. That is a gain of 24 cents versus August’s price of $19.83.

The Class II and Class IV prices posted losses, though they are still above $22 and $21, respectively. The USDA announced the September Class II at $22.16, down a quarter from the August price of $22.41. The September Class IV price was announced at $21.61, down 26 cents versus the August price of $21.87.

The USDA announced these milk prices on Oct. 5.

One year ago, the Class II price was $11.74. The Class III and IV prices were $12.29 and $11.10, respectively.
