October brought lower milk prices. The Class III price for October is $18.70. Although that is $6.38 more than a year ago, it is a loss of $1.37 versus September’s price of $20.07.

The Class II and Class IV prices also posted losses, though they are still above $21. According to the USDA, the October Class IV price is $21.31. That is 30 cents less than September. One year ago it was $11.51.

The October Class II price is $21.90. That is 26 cents less than September, but still $10.11 higher than a year ago.
