The Class III price has set a new record high.

According to the USDA’s announcement of class prices on Aug. 3, the July Class III price is $21.38. That is 80 cents higher than the previous high of $20.58 set in May 2004. It also is $1.21 higher than June and $10.46 higher than a year ago.

The Class IV price also trumped its previous record high of $20.76 set in June. It is $21.64 for July, which is up 88 cents versus June and $11.43 more than a year ago.

The Class II price also surged past $21. It is $21.40 — up $2.51 versus June and $10.57 higher than July 2006.
