U.S. Representative Earl Pomeroy (D-N.D.) has introduced legislation to block the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases via the Clean Air Act.

H.R. 4396, the “Save Our Energy Jobs Act” was introduced last Friday, and comes on the heels of the EPA announcement in December that it would move forward on new rules to regulate greenhouse gas emissions under the Clean Air Act.

"This action, if not prevented, could dramatically increase energy rates as well as end up costing North Dakota jobs," Pomeroy says.
