On Monday, new ads by the California Milk Processor Board went up in five San Francisco-area bus stop shelters. The ads used the scent of fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies with got milk? ads to get bus travelers thinking about milk.

However, the month-long test was cut short on Tuesday. The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency ordered the scent-filled ads to come down. MTA says it received complaints and concerns that the fumes might not be safe. In addition, MTA was not informed about the ad campaign before it went up. However, MTA contracts out bus shelter advertising to CBS Outdoor who did approve the ads.
