Culling activity increases

Dairy-cow slaughter rose last month according to Friday’s USDA “Livestock Slaughter” report. In July, 209,000 dairy cows were culled.

That’s 28,000 more than the 181,000 cows that were culled in June and 29,000 more than the 180,000 that were culled in July last year.
