Cooperatives Working Together announced that it accepted seven export assistance bids last week for the sale of cheese, anhydrous milkfat and butter. Bid details are as follows:

  • California Dairies Inc., Artesia, Calif., to export 1.1 million pounds (500 metric tons) of butter to Egypt.
  • Dairy Farmers of America, Kansas City, Mo to export 330,000 pounds (150 metric tons) of Cheddar cheese to to Morocco.
  • DFA, another three bids to export anhydrous milkfat —660,000 pounds (300 metric tons) to the Netherlands;   550,000 pounds (250 metric tons) to Egypt; and 440,000 pounds (200 metric tons) to Saudi Arabia.
  • Foremost Farms, Baraboo, Wis., to export 396,000 pounds (180 metric tons) of butter to the United Arab Emirates.
  • Foremost Farms, to export 248,600 pounds (113 metric tons) of Mozzarella cheese to South Korea.

CWT will pay an export bonus to the bidders, once completion of the butter, milkfat and cheese shipments is verified.
