Ohio State University extension will offer a dairy workshop on Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Shisler Center on the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center campus in Wooster, Ohio. “Futuring the Dairy Farm Business: In, Out, Moving Ahead” will provide the tools producers need to evaluate their current business position and make informed and effective decisions to meet the farm’s short and long-term objectives.

Topics being covered include calculating cost of production, milk price outlook, managing milk prices at the farm level and legal issues.

The first 100 reservations are fully covered by sponsor support. Reservations for industry personnel and producer reservations after the first 100 seats have been reserved will be accepted at $30 per person. Registration deadline is Feb. 12.

Workshop sponsors include the Ohio Dairy Research Fund, the Wayne County Dairy Service Unit, National City, Commodity Blenders, Farm Credit Services of Mid-America, OSU Extension and the North Center Risk Management Education Center.
