Research published in the October edition of Nutrition & Metabolism indicates that eating dairy foods may help people trying to burn more fat so they can eat more calories without adding pounds.
The study was funded by the National Dairy Council. It found that these individuals were able to consume more calories without gaining weight, compared with people who consumed less than one daily dairy serving.
Researchers theorize that being able to eat more calories may make it easier for people to stick to a weight-maintenance diet.
