Dairy science degree added

Northcentral Technical College in Wausau, Wis., has added a dairy science associate degree, the only of its kind offered in Wisconsin. The two-year program starts this fall with 15 students enrolled.

The students will take courses in animal breeding, farm machinery operations and other subjects. In addition to work in class students will have lab work at various farms in the area. The goal of the program is to teach students modern dairy practices needed to stay competitive in the economy.
