Dallas News reports Dean Foods Co. has settled an anti-trust lawsuit filed by Vermont dairy farmers worth $30 million.

Vermont dairy farmers accused Dean Foods and three other dairy-industry defendants of price-fixing and conspiracy to control the milk market in the Northeast. While some of the farmers’ claims were dropped from the other defendants, all of the claims applied to Dean. The company reached a settlement with the dairy farmers Thursday.

According to the settlement, Dean will pay $30 million and "agree to other terms and conditions with respect to its raw milk procurement activities at certain of its processing plants located in the Northeast," the filing said.
