Discover conference focuses on nutritional management, environmental stewardship

The American Dairy Science Association Discover Conference Series has announced the 12th Discover Conference on Food Animal Agriculture: Integrating Nutritional Management into Environmental Stewardship. The conference will cover topics for the pork, dairy and beef industries. The conference is April 15-18, 2007 at Abe Martin Lodge near Nashville, Ind.

The conference will encourage participants to:  

  • Consider the future challenges of environmental issues and the role of nutrition in meeting environmental objectives.
  • Brainstorm future directions of research needed to move beyond current approaches and meet these anticipated changes.
  • Put their training into practice through demonstration of tools available and sharing of information of resulting impact on excretion, air emissions and animal performance.
  • Nutrition professionals including consultants, sales and advisors, members of both the industry and academic research community, and members of governmental and regulatory agencies are encouraged to attend.
