When dairy employees arrived at the Fieser Dairy Farm in DeLeon Springs, Fla., early yesterday morning they were greeting by barking dogs and bellowing calves.

A group of several dogs snuck into the pasture during the night where the young calves were kept and attacked the calves. That morning employees found calves with tails that had been half chewed off, with missing ears and with bloodied loins. Three calves died and more than 20 were injured.

Volusia County Animal Control is setting up traps to catch the dogs if they return. If caught, animal control will track down owners to seek reparations for the damage.
