Investigators found dozens of sick or dead cows on four Bedford  County (Tenn.) farms, according to WSMV-TV in Nashville. The owner of the farms claims that the cattle had been shot. Through further examination, the investigators reported that the dead cattle showed their stomachs were empty except for tree bark and other things used to stay alive.

Investigators plan to return to the farm today to look for more dead animals.
