Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream Holdings Inc., Oakland, Calif., has become an indirect subsidiary of Nestle Holdings. The move came as a result of a stock transaction between certain shareholders of Dreyer’s stock and the company, Dryer’s announced last week.

Nestle's U.S. operations merged with Dreyer’s in 2003, but continued to operate under the Dreyer’s name. This latest transaction means that Nestle Holdings now owns 90 percent of Dreyer’s stock.
