Moderate to severe drought continues to grip some important dairy areas.

According to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor, published by the National Drought Mitigation Center, central California remains under moderate to severe drought conditions, as it has been since spring. Northern Wisconsin is dry, as well. One section of northwest Wisconsin has been elevated from “severe” drought conditions to “extreme” drought conditions in the past week.
