Environmental group plans to sue Idaho dairy

The Idaho Conservation League has yet another large dairy in its sites. This time the group has announced plans to file suit against Desert Rose Dairy near Filer, Idaho for alleged violations of the Clean Air Act.

However, U.S. Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, says the Clean Air Act was never intended to be applied to livestock operations. Craig is working to introduce legislation that would exempt livestock operations from EPA jurisdiction but failed to get the bill introduced before Congress recessed for fall break.
