Farm family relationships topic of upcoming program

On June 4, the Professional Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania is offering a one-day training program about farm family communication and relationship guidelines. “Family Relationships on the Farm” begins at 8:30 a.m. in Lancaster, Pa.

Carl Clarke, a psychologist with an extensive background in family dynamics, will explain and demonstrate positive ways for family members to communicate with each other. A producer panel and farm tour will also be included in the program.

Key topics include:

  • Making decisions.
  • Resolving conflicts.
  • Delegating responsibilities.
  • Working cooperatively to achieve family and farm goals.
  • Overcoming generational differences.
