Federal budget cuts would hurt farm income

Net farm income would drop by $7.4 billion over the next five years if President Bush’s proposed budget cuts for agriculture take effect.

That’s according to the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute at the University of Missouri, which considered the ramifications of a 5-percent cut in farm payments combined with loan limitations. For more, follow this link.
