A Florida dairy has been cited by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for allegedly disposing of dead animals in an improper manner.

Peachey Dairy, in Myakka City, Fla., was ordered to “cease the improper disposal of deceased animals” and also provide quarterly sampling reports for its waste storage pond to determine nutrient levels, according to the Bradenton Herald.

“EPA inspectors observed March 23, 2009, that dead animals had been disposed of above ground with no suitable soil cover,” the article said.
