The “got milk?” Milk Mustache Campaign and USA Today are looking for 25 student-athletes for the ninth annual Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year (SAMMY) Awards.

The winners will each receive a $7,500 scholarship, attend a special awards ceremony at The Milk House at Disney’s Wide World of Sports, and appear in their own milk mustache ad in USA Today.

The 2006 contest is open to high-school seniors nationwide. Applicants are required to describe in 75 words or less how drinking milk is part of their everyday life and training regimen. A celebrity panel of milk mustache athletes will select the SAMMY winners based on the following criteria: academic performance, athletic excellence, leadership skills and community service. Entries are due March 3, 2006. Finalists will be selected by June 2006. For contest rules and applications, go to: www.whymilk.com
