Low dairy prices have wide ripple-effects. Just ask Wyoming hay producers.

According to a report in the Billings Gazette, much of the state’s high-quality hay is usually bound for dairy farms. But low milk prices have meant that dairy farmers have scaled back their purchases, a situation likely to remain in place for a while — as is the backlog of hay.
