Flooding in the SusquehannaValley has consumed crops and pushed dairy producers and their cows to higher ground.

According to an article in the Press & Sun Bulletin, many farmers, with the help of neighbors, were able to truck their dairy cows to higher ground but now face farms covered by up to 12-feet of water.  Tom Pipher, a spokesman for the Farm Service Agency in TiogaCounty says flood waters have affected the entire valley. He estimates losses will be heavy — especially for crop farmers.
