Good news for June dairy month – ice cream sales are up as much as 20 percent in some areas.
The publisher of the trade publication National Dipper tells the San Francisco Chronicle that this is because ice cream is a comfort food, and people often turn to these items when times get tough.

And these success stories are good news for the dairy industry that needs to move product off the market. The fact that it is accomplished in such a tasty fashion with pleasurable consumer experiences is an added bonus.
