Illinois launches new ag safety site

The University of Illinois extension has launched a new Web site that provides research-based information and resources to assist individuals and groups with agricultural safety issues.

The new site is Agricultural Safety and Health. It’s part of the Illinois Network for Agricultural Safety and Health, which works to promote and improve safety intervention efforts.

The site includes several fact sheets covering a broad range of topics such as safe manure storage, rollover protection, electrical and mowing safety. The site also has information on all-terrain vehicles and farm-hazard demonstration equipment. Other topics on the site include research results, statistics, publications and links to farm-safety and health-related sites.
