Leprino Foods reportedly is evaluating the state of the dairy industry in Colorado before breaking ground on a $140 million mozzarella plant in Greeley, Colo.

"One of the most important factors in situating a chese plant is the quantity and quality of the local milk supply," Leprino senior vice president Mike Reidy told The Denver Post.

Dairy farmers in Colorado are in turmoil, like they are all over the United States in the midst of declining milk prices.
