The Swift County Citizens for Responsible Growth has taken its first legal action against the proposed 6,000-head East Dublin Dairy.

The group filed a complaint in the Swift County District Court against the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. The complaint contends that MPCA ignored local input and should have required an environmental impact statement for the proposed dairy. The proposed dairy is located a little over two miles outside the towns of Murdock and Kerkhoven in west central Minnesota. Residents there worry not only about harm to the environment but harm to their local economy as well.
