Diehl Specialities has introduced a low-carb milk drink for carbohydrate-conscious consumers. Called Lo-carb, one serving contains 2 grams of carbohydrates, 5 grams of fat, 12 grams of protein and 365 grams of calcium.

According to a study by the Natural Marketing Institute, more than 25 million Americans have tried low carbohydrate diets. In addition to the low carbohydrate dieters, an estimated 16 million diabetics rely on low carbohydrate diets. These two segments combine to form tremendous market potential for Lo-carb.

Diehl Specialties, located in Defiance, Ohio, is looking for HTST and UHT dairies to partner with to produce and distribute the product nationwide.
