Kevin Mews, Colby, Wis., is the ninth person charged in the alleged watering of milk sold to Mullins Cheese, Mosinee, Wis.
Earlier this month, Mews was charged with theft of more than $10,000 by false representation in connection with the case in which several dairy producers and milk haulers allegedly conspired to add water to milk.
According to court records, milk hauler Mews was not aware of the extra water added to milk, but he told investigators that he used “poor sampling practices” that hid the quality of milk sold to the processor. MORE INFORMATION.
