The price that U.S. consumers pay for a gallon of milk is going up.

The current retail average price for a gallon of milk is about $3.10, says Scott Brown, agricultural economist at the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources. Consumers can expect to see that price increase by $1 to $1.50 per gallon of milk in the next few months.
