Milk Prices By U.S. & State: National Prices Higher For Sixth Consecutive Month

National milk prices increased by 60 cents to $18.30 per cwt in December. Milk prices have improved for six consecutive months and are only 10 cents under the 27-month high of $18.40. December milk prices are $2.23 above the average for the year.

On the state level, milk prices showed the most improvement in Michigan, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio and Pennsylvania where prices are 90 cents higher. Milk prices are higher in every state, but California showed the lowest increase, improving by 27 cents to $16.50 per cwt. The state with the highest milk price in December was Florida at $22.10 per cwt, the lowest prices were found in California.
